Philip is a performer, composer and technician.
His musical spectrum encompasses Electronica, Pop and experimentally orientated groups such as Aqutecouch, KillerFernandez and Kobayashi Orchestra. More traditional line-ups include the Royal Northern Big Band, featuring acclaimed soloists Birger Sulsbrueck and Julian Joseph.
Phil’s toured the UK and Ireland with songwriter Amy Smith since 2004, supporting the likes of Jamie Cullum, Ray Lamontagne, KD Lang and Simply Red. A US-trip included concerts at SXSW Festival in Austin, broadcast on BBC2, NYC’s Knitting Factory and LA. The last tour culminated with four successive concerts in the Royal Albert Hall.
