The ELIXIR string quartet is a dynamic, vibrant and exciting quartet playing modern day covers of pop songs with electric instruments, who can also play classical pieces as a traditional, acoustic string quartet.
Classically trained at Britain’s most prestigious music conservatoires (Royal Academy of Music & Guildhall), between them they have performed throughout the UK and across Europe and have even entertained royalty at the Epsom Derby to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
A hugely versatile quartet, ELIXIR is experienced in string arranging (Lightning Seeds session work, Richard Ashcroft /The Verve), touring with Madness, on cruises and performing at many corporate events and weddings. They have also appeared on Television shows such as The X Factor, Popstar to Opera Star, GMTV and at venues as diverse as The Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Royal Academy of Art, to the O2 Academy and Glastonbury festival.

Louisa first fell in love with harp at the age of three after being taken to see the Nutcracker ballet.
She was the first harpist at Trinity College to graduate with a first class degree and whilst undertaking her postgraduate studies was invited to perform a concerto at the Royal Festival Hall with the Trinity College symphony orchestra and was awarded the Silver Prize for String Players.
Since leaving college, Louisa has had a busy freelance career working with many of the main professional orchestras in the United Kingdom. These include the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia, London Philharmonic, Ulster Orchestra, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra English National Ballet and English National Opera and at the Royal Opera House.
She has given recitals at The Purcell Room Southbank,Fairfield Halls, Southwark Catherdral and St Martins in the Fields and been broadcast many times on Radio Three. Louisa was also the featured soloist in a BBC television documentary on Benjamin Britten.
As a harpist for functions, Louisa has performed at many beautiful venues and hotels in London and the South East from Claridges to The Ritz and the Houses of Parliament.
She has performed for royalty and celebrities, as part of the Trafalgar Day celebrations she was invited to perform at an intimate dinner for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and regularly plays for functions at the Houses of Parliament.
Louisa is also carving out a niche with her unique renditions of pop and rock songs played on the harp, this year she was invited to perform at the Kerang Rock Awards where she played in front of Slash from GunsnRoses and Ozzy Osbourne!
She is in great demand as a harpist for weddings and takes great pleasure in creating the right atmosphere through specifically chosen music. At Christmas time she can usually be seen performing in the Nutcracker ballet orchestra with the Royal Ballet in London maybe even inspiring future generations of harpists as she herself was once so inspired!
Lucy is an experienced and enthusiastic musician based in London. She specialises in providing music for weddings, corporate events, private parties and session work across the UK and abroad. Lucy has already had a successful career working as an individual and in various ensembles and orchestras, including her piano & cello duo.
She has a wide musical repertoire ranging from classical Bach solo cello suites to John Legend and is more than happy to have music specially arranged for your event. Lucy regularly plays with her pianist Jonathan, but if a piano is not available then she is more than happy to play along with backing tracks which she can supply.

Blue Strings are a classical and contemporary group ranging in line up size from the Blue String trio to the Blue String Orchestra.
They have performed and recorded with renowned artists such as Adele, Emelie Sande, Beyonce, Nigel Kennedy, Take That, Birdy, Paloma Faith, Rod Stewart, Pavarotti, The Script, Ne Yo, Lana del Rey and Simply Red. Blue Strings have played at venues such as Harrods, the V&A, The Dorchester, Claridge’s and Wembley Stadium.
Our feature String Trio and String Quintet are formed of 2 or 4 violins and the double bass – a unique take on a classical string group. The bass incorporates a slap bass technique that injects energy in to any performance – resulting in a unique and memorable style.

Holly is a regular performer at high-class events and weddings and, with her stand out style and her stunningly beautiful harp, she adds a touch of glamour to any occasion. She has regularly been invited to perform for royalty including at The Queen’s 80th birthday and also Prince Charles’ 60th birthday party. Other members of royalty that she has had the honour to play for include Princess Anne, Princess Alexandra, the Duke of York and the Duchess of Gloucester.
Holly has also had the pleasure to perform at incredible events including The Brit Awards with Florence and the Machine, The Olympic Games, The Royal Opera House, Battersea Power Station for Bernie Ecclestone’s daughter’s engagement party, The Ritz for Mary Berry’s book launch and many others.

Natalie is a wonderful soprano who recently made her debut at Welsh National Opera, playing the lead of Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel. She understudied for Yum-Yum in the ENO’s acclaimed production of The Mikado and her vast repertoire means that she can adapt herself to any event, accompanied either by an orchestra, piano or performing as a solo artist.
On the 2015 English National Opera Squad Tour, she sang Papagena in The Magic Flute and Yum-Yum in The Mikado. She also appeared in Death in Venice for Garsington Opera and sang in Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford. Recent covers for English National Opera include Marzelline in Fidelio, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Papagena in The Magic Flute and Zenna Briggs in the world premiere of Sunken Garden by Michel Van der Aa. Natalie also covered Jemmy in Rossini’s William Tell at WNO and Vixen in Příhody lišky Bystroušky for Garsington Opera in 2014. Natalie sang Papagena for ENO’s Opera Squad Education tour in 2012 and 2013 and first sang Papagena (and covered Pamina) for Diva Opera and sang the role again recently with Opera Project.
As a debut solo artist in Prom 23 at the Royal Albert Hall Proms, The Times critic Hilary Finch noted the “wide awake, beautiful soprano voice of Natalie Montakhab.” Natalie has sung as soloist with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (Peer Gynt Suite), the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (Bartok’s Village Scenes) and for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra under Nicholas McGegan (Dido and Aeneas).
Ruth is extremely versatile on the violin and has a flair for improvisation and a knack for playing a wide range of musical styles from Latin, pop, chill out, and rock, to classical, romantic, contemporary and baroque.

She now focuses on bringing western and eastern influences together through her music.
Amy is violinist for the Phoenix Duo, the Chuan Duo and the Jade Quartet which have appeared on the BBC Radio 3’s InTune. As a classical violinist, she plays with the London Symphony Orchestra, Oxford Philharmusica, Southern Sinfonia, Royal Academy of Music, Sainsbury’s Soloists and Multi-Story Orchestra.
